40 Nights in Lincoln: Surviving Poverty Gallery Premiere

5:00 - 9:00 pm for First Fridays premiere
Noyes Art Gallery, 119 S 9th Street

Surviving Poverty tells the life stories of local residents struggling with poverty through still photos accompanied by short written essays and video documentary.

The ultimate goal of the project is to help others understand that the people in these stories live right here in Lincoln -- and that each person's struggles affect our community as a whole.

This is not, however, just another social awareness project. Everyone who sees these works will leave armed with specific steps they can take to better the lives of their neighbors.
